What we're about
Family Sports Social brings parents, kids, guardians and grandparents together through fun, low-pressure sport — followed by a social at the clubhouse.
Different sports each session — try something new or stick to your favourite. All abilities welcome, no kit needed.
Not kids' sport while parents watch. Everyone plays together — mixed ages, mixed abilities, one team.
Sessions end with time in the clubhouse. Meet your neighbours, let the kids wind down, enjoy the evening.
How it works
No membership required to start. Just show up and play.
Sign up below so we know you're coming. Sessions are pay-as-you-go — £10 per family.
We're at Bedford Cricket Club every other Saturday evening. Sessions run 5pm–7pm — warm-up, sport, social.
Our Playmakers run the sessions. Activities for everyone — move at your own pace, mix it up.
Clubhouse is open afterwards. Catch your breath, meet other families, call it a great Saturday.

Who runs the sessions
Every session is led by trained Playmakers — energetic, DBS-checked community sport leaders who make sure every family has a brilliant time.
Every Playmaker completes our training programme and holds a current DBS check — so you can turn up with complete confidence.
We recruit Playmakers from Bedford itself — including young people building their first coaching and community work experience.
We're looking for enthusiastic people to join our Playmaker team. No experience needed — just energy, reliability, and a love of sport.
